Happy Monday!!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry, I haven't blogged in a while. It's mostly cause I feel I have nothing to say, or really no one who cares to listen. But, I will check in to say that Baby Ava is now 4 months and doing great. Her Colic is getter better with each passing day. I'm too afraid to say that it's all gone cause I'm afraid to jinx myself. He he! We went last week for her 4 month well baby visit. Here are her stat's...

Age: 4 months

Weight: 12lbs 6oz

Height: 23 1/4 inches long

She was cleared to eat fruits and veggies but has not started them just yet. I hear Lot's of people saying to wait and then lots of people saying to start so as of right now I have mixed feelings and want to do more research on it.

It seems as though she is teething since she drools sooo much and constantly has her hands in her mouth! I swear I'm a nut when it comes to making sure her hands are always clean!

She plays with All her toys and talks a WHOLE bunch. I mean to anyone and everyone who will listen, it's super cute! She really is a hard baby to take pictures of since she constantly looks away from the camera cause she is sooo nosey!

In mommy and Daddy news we went to the LA Dodgers home opener! It was such a good time, we decided to leave Ava with grandma cause the game can get a lil crazy and we feel she is still too little for that.

Happy Birthday.... A lil late..

So last Friday was the Hubb's birthday! The big 26! We enjoyed a nice dinner with the family and then Saturday night we went out, to a bar in downtown Los Angeles (The Broadway bar for those interested). It was really great to go out and spend time with adults! It was especially great to be able to spend uninterrupted time with the hubb's! We enjoy our little girl more than anyone can imagine, but, it was nice to be him and I for a few hours.

In Baby news, Ava is 3 1/2 months, her hands are constantly in her mouth, (I cringe when anyone touches her hands now, I can't help thinking those germs are going straight into her mouth) She's weighing approx. 12.5 pounds now. Although that could very well be 13 since the last time we weighed her was about 3 weeks ago! The colic has passed!! Thank you Jesus! She lights up when her daddy gets home from work! She's already trying to pull herself up into a sitting position and she hasn't even started rolling over yet! That's all I can think of right now.

So this past weekend we baptized our little princess. It was a beautiful California day and the ceremony couldnt have been more perfect! Here are a few pics!

Hi Ladies,

I know I said I'm back but in reality I never really went anywhere! I've just been really busy getting all my ducks in a row and figuring out swinging being a stay at home mom for a while. I went into work and cleaned out my desk and had my farewell lunch with my coworkers! SAD!! I know I'm really going to miss my working life but NOTHING compares to staying home with my little one! God has blessed me with such a great opportunity and right now I'm just basking in it.

Also, the hubbs and I have been getting everything ready for Ava's Baptismal this weekend! I am really excited and looking forward to it! I am happy that I stuck to my word and will have her baptised in a timely manner. That was something really important to me! I will post some pictures of the special event.

Hey Everyone!

Just a little update on my week! Sunday we celebrated Zack's Nana's 80th birthday! She wanted to go wine tasting, so we went to Downtown LA with the whole family and did just that! Here are a few photos!

Then last night me and a few girlfriends went to the Mariah Carey concert! We had such a GOOD time! Let me tell you it was nice to get out with the girls and let loose a little! :)

So far my first week as a stay at home mom has been going OK. Ava was diagnosed on Monday with Mild Colic, I felt like telling the Dr. Mild MY ARSE!!!! She has bouts of crying at least three days a week and sometimes they go hours on end! I hate to see my baby in pain and it also takes a toll on me! :( He said we just have to ride it out and it should pass by 4 months, UGH its going to be a LONG month and a half! If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears!!

Bitter Sweet...

Hello everyone!

I haven't blogged in a few days and that's because last week I learned that I have been laid off. Now I say this is bittersweet cause I will get to stay home with my little lady bug, but I will truly miss all my friends. I know that there is no other babysitter out there better than me for lady bug, and the hubbs and I have decided that I can stay at home for a while and care for her. I will take a year off then re-evaluate at that point! I'm really excited to start this journey! The thought of waking up every morning and not having to rush off to work and drop her with a stranger just makes me soo happy, now I haven't even returned from maternity leave so I hadn't had to do that just yet but I was already getting the jitters just thinking about that day! I just hope that my friends (Co-workers) and I will stay in touch. They have been with me through my wedding, my pregnancy and everything in between!

If anyone knows of how I can still bring in an income while being at home, I'd appreciate it!

Happy Late V-Day Everyone!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day! Whether you did something over the top or just low key like the hubbs and I! We had a nice breakfast with both our families and then had a great dinner with my sis in law and her boyfriend! No complaints here!

It was Ava's first V-day and she had more than one valentine (Lucky little girl!) Tata got her a very cute stuffed animal and grandma got her an outfit! Super cute!

But best of all was daddy's gift! Her first Long stemmed Red Rose!

2 Months today!

Wow, I can hardly believe it's been two months! I figured that its about time I did the famous Pregnancy survey! Here it goes:

1) Were you married at the time? Yes, we were married for 1 year and 5 months by the time she was born!

2) What was your reaction when you found out? Nervous, Excited, Scared, Happy, all rolled into one crazy emotional pregnant ball! ha ha!

3) How old were you? 25!

4) How did you find out? Well, I was only two days late but my mom and mother in law kept insisting that I was pregnant. So I reluctantly took the test and sure enough it was positive! It literally showed up in like 2 seconds!

5) Who did you tell first? My mom was here with me when I took it, as soon as I seen the second pink line I started screaming and she came running! After that I called my best friend and told her then I called the hubby! Don't ask me why I told him 3rd!

6) Did you want to find out the sex? YES!! We were way too excited to wait. I swore up and down we were having a boy! Boy was I wrong!

7) Due Date: December 24, 2009

8) Did you deliver early or late? I delivered exactly two weeks early! No help from any old wives tales!

9) Did you have morning sickness? I was soo lucky! I truly had an awesome pregnancy! No Morning sickness at all! (crossing my fingers for the next pregnancy!)

10) What did you crave? Really nothing, I was sad too cause I really wanted to have the cravings! There was about a week when I wanted cookies N creme, but that's it...

11) What irritated you the most? Um, there was a friend of mine that I seriously could NOT stand! poor thing, she was only being supportive! :(

12) What was your first child's sex? Girl!

13) How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? 16! I told you I was lucky!

14) Did you have any complications? None at all!

15) Where did you deliver? Whittier Presbyterian

16) How many hours were you in labor? 21 hours. Water broke on December 11 and delivered Via C-Section on the 12Th

17) Who drove you to the hospital? My hubby! It was too funny cause the whole way there I was the one telling him to breathe and everything will be fine!

18) Did you take pain medicine! SURE DID! Got to 4 centimeters on my own though! I know that's not much but I have no regrets!

19) How much did your child weigh? 6lbs 5oz

20) What did you name her? Ava Elyse

21) How old is your first born today? 2 months exactly!

22) Who does she look like! I think she's a carbon copy of her daddy!

23) Did you get mad at your husband during labor? Actually I didn't. I was extremely calm and just breathed through each contraction. I did get mad at mama once though, the Dr. was explaining that I would need a C-Section and Why and mom was on her phone updating everyone in the waiting room! I was like HELLO, I need my mom right about now! FORGET everyone out there!

Ouch...

So today was my first day of the 30day shred! I tried a few minutes of it on Saturday and decided I would start fresh on Monday! Today was a bit rough but I just kept picturing myself in a bikini and kept on pushing! Little Missy sat ever so contently in her swing watching mama pant and SWEAT! After a few minutes she got bored though and decided to knock out! I can't wait to see some results and feel so proud in my bikini this summer!

I see that a lot of other Blogees are starting the shred so it keeps me motivated to keep up with you girls!

7 Weeks and a doctors visit

So yesterday I had to take little Ava to the doctors. Her belly button is still discharging and is still an "outtie". Of course I did the first thing you shouldn't do! I Googled it.. YES I entered in 7 week old and a discharging belly, the things that came up off that search were enough to make me promise to NEVER do that again! SCARY! The good news is the Dr. said it should invert itself soon and the discharging should subside within a month. He also put some topical on it to help it heal faster. I'm glad everything turned out to be OK!

After putting Ava down for the night I treated myself to some popcorn and a little bachelor drama! I'm still up in the air as to who I want him to choose, but one thing is for sure.. VIENNA has got to GO!!! Anyone agree???

My First Post

Ok well I guess I should start by telling a little about myself, I'm a 25 year old first time mom to a beautiful baby girl! Ava was born on December 12, 2009 after 38 wonderful weeks. I could not have asked for a better pregnancy. I was truly blessed. My hubbs and I have been married for a year and a half but have been together for 6 years now. It wasn't always easy in the beginning but we couldn't be happier now! I'm looking forward to being a part of the blogging world now!
